"Simon and I met nearly seven years ago at a small town bar thanks to a few shots of Tequila and the courage that came along with it. I never believed in love at first sight until that night! We have been inseparable ever since, supporting each other through trade school, college, moving to new towns and so many little things in between. 

When we got engaged, we both knew right away that we wanted to get married in the mountains, and specifically in Revelstoke. It's where we've had so many of our best adventures together. As soon as we saw the Revolution Lodge at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, we knew that we had found the perfect spot! It was the exact mix between fun, relaxed and festive atmosphere that we had in mind. 

One we had the venue booked, finding my dress was top of my list! I knew from friends that Novelle had to be my first stop. From the very beginning of the process, all the ladies at Novelle were amazing. I was lucky enough to have Angel as a consultant for my appointment. She made me feel so relaxed and hear. Angel treated my whole group so amazingly, even helping my seven year old niece pick out a dress for me to try on. After a few no's, I put ona dress that made me feel like the prettiest version of myself. The dress wasn't even zipped all the way up, when my maid of hnour peaked through the curtain and after looking at the dress, made eye contact with me, and I'm pretty sure I knew then that Iw as in the dress that I would wear to marry my best friend! Big bonus, THE DRESS HAS POCKETS!! I was absolutely in love with every detail of this dress: the gorgeous detail in all the patterns of the lace, the colour, the scalloped edge along the hem...

As our wedding planning went on, I got more and more excited to wear that dress, and I couldn't wait for my now husband to see me in it! 

Our wedding wasn't the most traditional but it was very "us". We did a first look and all of our bridal party pictures before the ceremony. We were at our venue to greet all of our guests before the ceremony as well. And following the trend from the night we first met, we had everyone who wanted to have a shot of Tequila before being seated. In place of an officiant, we had each member of our wedding party perform a part of our ceremony. It was so special and memorable and personal to have the people that we had asked to stand up with us, be the one to marry us! We then sealed our union with out first Tequila shot as husband and wide! Simon and I had the wedding that we wanted, and because of that, we were actually relaxed and street-free all day long! And then we danced the whole night away with out closest friends and families; the tequila we had on the tables instead of wine helped to fuel the late night dancing! 

I know that having the perfect dress is not the most important thing for a wedding, but feeling comfortable and beautiful and like myself definitely helped me be in the moment and enjoy this day! I cannot thank everyone at Novelle enough for helping me, from teh day I picked it out, to the day I picked it up and picked our my veil and the appointments I had to have it altered and fitted; the entire experience surpassed my expectations. I have zero hesitation telling friends that Novelle is where you should go to find your wedding dress!"
