"Jonathan and I met for the first time over a traditional Tinder breakfast date five years ago. Three and a half years later he planned the sweetest proposal by renting out the Edmonton High Level Streetcar , on which he proposed in the middle of the bridge at sunset.
A few months later I began my search for the perfect wedding dress that would reflect both my style and my personality. Novelle was the first shop I tried on dresses at. Julia helped me during my many visits with a kind heart and an open ear to make all of my dress dreams possible. I say many because there was the first appointment, then a second a few months later, with a clearer idea of what I was looking for.
I went to the second appointment alone and that is when I found the dress for me, the Hepburn by Maggie Sottero. Then finally a reveal appointment for my friends. It truly felt so special to be a Novelle Bride.
COVID-19 was of course a challenge for us and we had to rethink and cancel our original wedding plans in a small town in Quebec. We chose to elope on July 4, 2020 in the Canmore and Banff area where we exchanged vows in a field surrounded by the beautiful mountains.
Although we missed our loved ones, we shared a beautiful day in awe of the breathtaking nature that surrounded us."
