Danielle & Brian

03/13/18

Our real bride Danielle married her best friend Brian this November at Jasper Park lodge surrounded by those closest to them, including their two adorable dogs! The pair met through Plenty of Fish and after their first date they knew it was something extra special- everything just fell into place. We asked Danielle about her experience leading up to the wedding and how it call came together on the big day!

“When we got engaged, we knew right away we wanted to have our wedding in Jasper as it is one of our favorite places to be. On our lists of musts was a venue that would accommodate our dogs/flower girls and had mountain views.  We looked at a few places, but the Jasper Park Lodge fit our vision exactly and was the obvious choice.

I went to a few dress stores while searching for my wedding dress. My second stop was Novelle and I absolutely loved the experience there.  I found my dress, style Mikaella 2056 paired with an Allure belt, and it was the perfect combination of the classic satin skirt, lace illusion back and fit and flare silhouette I had been wanting.  No other dress I tried on before or after compared. My bridesmaids also got their dresses from Novelle and we adored the one-on-one attention in the loft and the excellent selection.  We were able to find three stunning dresses from the Dessy collection that suited each of my girls to a T.

Our day went so well! We loved having a first look. It was the perfect way to settle into the day and calm our emotions.  We loved our ceremony in front of the fireplace - we incorporated our own vows and a handfasting.  One of the best moments of the day was when one of our dogs, Panda, decided to help us out with the vows and chimed in with her lovely voice - it was so funny and fit our personalities perfectly. We aimed for a balance between rustic and elegance for our decor and tried to honor the mountain setting as much as we could. My Mom and I DIY'd a lot of the decor including the signs and the lanterns for the ceremony. A couple of my favorite details were my bouquet, which had my late Grandpa's pocket watch wired to the stem, and our custom cake topper of our dogs so that they could be at the reception in spirit.”
