"My husband and I actually grew up in the same rural area and attended the same schools. He is a few years older than me so we weren't friends growing up but we did know of one another. It was after high school and post secondary that we were re-introduced through a mutual friend. As the saying goes, the rest is history!

I absolutely loved my experience at Novelle Bridal. I can still remember sitting in the front room waiting with everyone there for the fitting. It was so fun for us to look around and pre-select some dresses that I was dying to try on! I tried on what felt like every style of dress imaginable and just wasn't falling in love with anything. The consultant that was helping us was amazing and allowed our time to run a little longer as her next appointment wasn't right after mine. It was on the very last dress of the appointment that I found the one! I never thought that I would love a dress but was I ever wrong. We found the one that brought my entourage to tears. Talk about the perfect find!

Now finding the dress was important, but I would later find out this appointment would mean so much more to me than I would know. At the appointment I had my mom, mother-in-law, two close Aunties (one being my Godmother) and my maid of honour. My Godmother passed away in August, five months before our wedding, and my other Auntie was later diagnosed and in treatment for Cancer. I am close with both of my Aunties and to me this was so devastating as neither would be a part of this milestone in my life and witness me walking down the aisle. I mean it quite literally when I say having them at the appointment and seeing me in "the dress" meant the absolute world to me. 

As for our wedding, I can only use one word to describe it: PERFECT! I know that is probably pretty cliche but it's the only word that I can think of when I think of our day. The morning started off with mimosas, pastries and getting dolled up. Who doesn't love that?! The rest of the day seemed to flow so perfectly, from pictures, walking down the aisle, drinking champagne from the bottle, dancing all night. I only wish that it could have lasted longer."
