A surprise visit from Linda's Made of Honour made her shopping experience even more perfect! We asked our bride to share her special love story and her gorgeous wedding in Vancouver, BC:
"Stanley and I met online in 2015. He was my first and only online date ever. I was on for two weeks and that was it! After a few dates, we were inseparable and connected right away. There was something special about Stanley and I knew he was going to be the one. Fast forward a year later, we found out we were pregnant. When I was about 5 months along, we went on a baby moon trip to Oahu, Hawaii. This is where he proposed to me, along the beach underneath the moonlight. It was so perfect and romantic. I couldn't have imagined it any other way. Although we were together for such a short time, everything felt so right and meant to be.
About 10 weeks after I gave birth, I booked two appointments to two different bridal shops for the same day. Novelle Bridal was my first stop. One of my bridesmaids was driving us to the appointment (I had three bridesmaids, however the other two live out of town), she had to make a quick stop before the appointment. Next thing I knew we were at the airport and my maid of honour surprised me from Vancouver to come with us! This made my day! Although the third bridesmaid couldn't come (she was in spirit!), to have those two was very special. Once we arrived at Novelle, we met with Vivienne who was fabulous to work with. I had a type of dress in mind but I was open to trying anything. I tried on seven dresses- however the first one was amazing. I didn't want to get too excited so I tried on the rest but I kept going back to the first dress. It was this gorgeous Allure slip dress with a trumpet silhouette and it had the right amount of lace, tulle and crystal beading. The detail of the dress, especially the back, left me speechless. Funny enough, it was my maid of honour that found this dress for me so it meant even more to have her there. I decided to put the first dress back on with Vivienne dolling me up with some jewelry and a veil. It was perfect and it was everything I wanted. I said yes to the dress! We ended up cancelling the other appointment because my search was complete. The one thing that surprised me was that I always wanted a traditional white dress, instead I opted for this beautiful blush, antique colour. Best decision ever.
On August 4, 2018 Stanley and I got married in front of our closest friends and family in Vancouver, BC. Our wedding day was amazing and it was the best day of my life. We actually had our first look privately before the ceremony and shared a special moment together. This was one of my favourite moments, especially to see his reaction. Our wedding was held at the Brix & Mortar in Yaletown. It was so romantic and intimate. The wedding was set in a beautiful courtyard with lots of greenery, candles and exposed brick- our ceremony and reception was stunning. I never imagined finding my true love the way that I did, things happen for a reason and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. To top it all off, our son was our ring bearer which made it even more special as the three of us got to celebrate together as a family."
