Megan & Trevor

Novelle Bride Megan proves that dress shopping doesn't have to be a hard, drawn out process! Just like when she found the man of her dreams, she knew she had found the dress of her dreams the moment she saw it. We asked Megan to share her love story. 

"My now husband Trevor and I met through mutual friends in August 2016. We planned our first date- simply dinner and a movie! We hit it off right away and were inseparable from that day on. Just over seven months later, Trevor asked me to be his wife. We were living in separate cities, but I couldn't imagine my life without him. Finally, that August, I was able to move to Grande Prairie for my final practicum and live with my fiance! 

Now it was time to find the dress! 

My Mom, Grandma, Sister, Sister in Law and I all met in Edmonton to go dress shopping. We went to one store in the morning and I tried on multiple dresses, with no success. We had an appointment at Novelle that afternoon, but I was worried I wouldn't find my dress. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and quickly shown to a private room. I explained what I was looking for and my price range, and then it was time to look at the dresses. I had found about 10 to try on and things were looking good. The very first dress I tried on was picked out by my consultant. It was perfect. It was exactly what I was looking for! I tried on the rest of the dresses just to make sure, but I knew it was the one. I put it on again, this time with a veil, and everybody started crying. I found my dream dress and it couldn't have been easier! 

On August 18th, 2018, I woke up to the sun shining and all of my bridesmaids smiling faces. We took turns getting our hair and makeup done, which all turned out perfect. When it was time to put my dress on, I was nervous! My Mom and Sister helped me and I don't think I've ever felt more beautiful. The dress fit perfect and was everything I dreamed it would be! We had an outdoor ceremony and the lace really looked amazing in the sunlight. I married the man of my dreams and had the most amazing time celebrating with our family and friends."
