Stephanie & Tucker

10/09/18

We were simply mesmerized by all of the stunning photos of our barefoot Novelle Bride Stephanie in her dream wedding gown, we just had to ask her to share the story of her enchanting day.

" I walked into my hometown hockey rink not expecting anything more than to meet a girlfriend for a beer and to watch a game of the Charity Hockey tourney, until I noticed this new guy walk in with an old high school friend of mine. I looked at my girlfriend and called "dibs"! After getting his background story from the friend he walked in with, I was pretty insistent that I challenge him to beer pong. I can't even remember who won but I do remember laughing and talking the night away. The days following I knew Tucker was going to be my forever.

It wasn't long after our engagement last December that I made my appointment with Novelle. It was my first time ever dress shopping, but I had a pretty clear idea of what I was looking for and was not disappointed. From the moment I walked into Novelle with my mom and my best friend it felt like a match. We were greeted right away and given a couple of minutes to browse before we were taken to our own private room for our Couture Appointment with desserts and sparkling drinks, and my consultant took down all of my details. I had mentioned I saw one particular Sottero & Midgley dress in the showroom I'd like to try and she brought it in along with two other gowns. The first dress was everything I had described but I was missing that "bride" feeling. But the second, the Narissa, was everything. The details in the lace and the appliques on the back. It was comfortable and moved with my body. It was the dress. My consultant brought the most beautiful Twigs & Honey floral crown to try on with it, knowing I didn't want a veil and it brought everything together. Thank you for making my dress shopping experience so effortless and enjoyable.

Our wedding day came together just the same. We got married along the river in a meadow that has belonged to my family for generations. With all of the smoke we had from the fires this summer people kept asking if we had a back up plan. But we knew it would work out no matter the weather. We had a tent and it had light, we knew no matter what as long as we were going to be married it would be a great day. Luck would have it on August 25, we got enough rain in the morning to clear most of the smoke and caught a break in the weather. It was organic, enchanting and felt true to who were were. We had the reception underneath the tent surrounded by our nearest and dearest loved ones. We broke bread and shared stories that made us laugh and cry, then left it all on the dance floor in the early morning hours. It was the most perfect day- the kind you wish you could bottle up the emotion from. #stuck2018 will be forever marked in our history books."
